Sixteenth note beats
There's two basic stickings used to play 16:th note hihat beats.
Either you use alternared sticking: both hands play hihat, except for right hand playing
on snare drum on beats 2 and 4.

.......or you can play right hand on hihat and left hand on snare, as you have done up until now.

You usually play alternated in faster tempos. In slower tempos, you get a "fatter sound" when playing the other sticking since you play hihat and snare in unison on the back beat.
The examples below are noted either way. You should practice playing them both ways.
Note! When you play alternated, some snare drum notes will be played with left hand!
